In the beginning, you might not find any differences between your budget friendly Pixel 3a and the luxury Pixel 3. But to get the Pixel 3a's price point low enough to create a heavy impact on the customer, Google needed to take out a few niceties. The Pixel 3a drops the IP rating, swaps the glass with plastic, removes wireless charging, and switches out the expensive CPU for something more middling. The bigger Pixel 3a XL is usually spec-for-spec pretty much similar to the smaller Pixel 3a. The most significant difference is the bigger battery juice and larger display. Extra juice means more power to get you through the day. You should consider the 3a XL whenever those are the features you wish.
One of the useful features of the Google Pixel 3 is Active Edge, that enables you to squeeze the edges of the handset to summon Google Assistant, which is also present on the Pixel 3a, that's something we did not be expecting given the cheaper selling price. The display screen on the Pixel 3a is definitely fantastic. We rarely once looked at the phone during the review period and believed we were looking over at a device which usually cost $399.
